That said, don?t expect it to stand up to quite the same amount of wear as nylon. Wool is another very popular choice. It has the advantage of being a natural fabric but it is not as stain resistant as its peers.

The construction of your carpet can range from tufted to twisted. Investing in a well made carpet ensures its longevity, so don?t be tempted to skimp on a cheaper carpet that is poorly made because it won?t stand up to the test of time.

There is little doubt that choosing a carpet can be overwhelming, but you can simplify the process by thinking about your style, lifestyle and budget. Choose wisely and you will lay a carpet that enhances the overall appearance of your home, and see you through years of use.
